This place can get packed but has a great swim area where you can snorkel right next to the inlet protected from boat traffic by rocks. I've seen plenty of fish of all colors here and it's a great place even when the wind is up a bit. Try to catch the incoming tide for clearer water.
Beautiful spot. Great for families with small kids. Lots of shallow swimming areas and nice landscaping. Only big problem is a lack of changing rooms & gross bathrooms.
Free parking, major plus here. Crowded on weekends, though. Public bathrooms, fishing pier, gorgeous view of the lighthouse, lots of shade along the bank of the bay, by the mangroves. Watch for crabs and coons if you sit there. I absolutely LOVED bringing my kids here when they were kids. I can't wait to bring my grandkids!!!
Awesome coastal park. Great for learning to paddleboard. Great for little kids, especially when the ocean is rough.
One of my favorite for those that want to swim and play without going to the open ocean. Nice tidal area for playing and swimming.
