Beautiful bike ride area. Not too touristy wild... it needs little bit more nature care and maintenance.
It's free, it's secluded, it's not busy. Went kayaking with my 5 year old and then we biked the trails. Easy trails, wide for multiple bikes, pedestians. If you are looking for a nice outdoor experience, and you bring your own stuff (kayak, bikes, food, drinks....) it'll be fun.
Great bike riding trails. Well marked, level and we'll maintained. Nice new rest facilities.
One of the best parks around, especially for walking or biking. Trails are well made and there are maps all over to keep you from getting lost. Lots of picnic places and it is not to hard to get a private pavilion even without a reservation.
While this is an extremely beautiful park, it is an understatement for me to say how dissapointed I am with the staff. I visited this park with my service animal and I was kicked out because I had her with me. I told them my dog was a service animal and the staff then proceeded to question me about if she actually provided a service. I showed them my national service animal registry card and I was STILL told I could not have her there. Not only is this unacceptable, but it is illegal per the Americans with Disability Act. So if you happen to need a service animal don't visit this park because evidently the staff believes the rules do not apply to them.
